With performers from all over the world taking part, this film is the first of its kind.
Our tale follows the semi professional troupe The Weird Sisters on their journey to one of the worlds biggest Gothic Belly Dance festivals, Gothla UK.

With your HOST: Hot Todd Lincoln Hot Todd Lincoln is the emcee for this year’s Belly Horror Underworld Show.He brings a love of language, and a preponderance of puns to his shows, while deferring to the wonderful talent on the stage. When not hosting or producing a show, he is an active photographer, documenting as many shows as he can.He is an ardent supporter and fan of the burlesque, sideshow and belly dance scenes. He can often be found at DC’s monthly Tribal Cafe, Burlesque/Sideshow events at the Red Palace, and advocating the live arts in your nation’s capitol. |
Bagoas is an award winning tribal fusion dancer known for his musicality, technical power, and dramatic presentations. He draws on a variety of artistic abilities including classical piano, vocal artsong, fashion design, acrobatics and theatre, and has been described by audiences as an Atari joystick, one liquid muscle, and the Energizer Bunny of belly dance.www.facebook.com/BagoasDances |

Marci Turner-Holcombe has been studying ATS since 1999. Marci has been both a founding member of FCBD partner troupe, Devyani and founding member and co-director of the DC ATS troupe Sammati. Back in Birmingham, Marci is now on a new path in dance. Tonight Marci returns to DC to premiere her first Tribal Fusion piece, Forever By Your Side.This piece is highly personal, having been born from a cancer scare earlier in the year |
A dancer for most of her life, Princess Augusta just dipped hertoes into Burlesque in October 2010. Raising money for various charities through the Augusta Burlesque Troupe in Georgia, the Princess takes her stage name from the namesake of her hometown. Samantha Hegre is a fusion belly dancer from Washington, DC. Known for long, elegant lines & unique musical choices, she had danced to sounds ranging from birdsongs to Brahms. A classical musician by trade, Samantha loves to delve deep into the musical structure & meaning when creating a dance, and seeks to create evocative works. To this end, she is a co-creator of Braindance collective, which produces programmatic & thought-provoking dance theater. |
Spiral has studied a diverse range of styles, and often incorporates jazz and martial arts styling with classical belly dance. She holds multiple certifications and awards, having studied with many notable teachers, including Lisa Zahiya, Ava Fleming, Piper, Latifa, Lotus Niraja, and Suhaila Salimpour. |
Somnium is a dark fusion bellydance troupe based out of Hampton, VA, guided under the tutelage of troupe director, and dancer, Anise. They prefer to dance in the shadows, and mingle in the dark. They cast longer shadows and spend more time in duet with mists, and find comfort in the echoes left over from storms. Not wanting to be defined by a single form, nor confined by the one rule fits all, they keep the dance free, and open in it’s art.
